What Size Of Area Rug Should I Get?

For the vast majority of apartments, a 9’x12’ or a 10’x14 area rug is going to be perfect.
If you are debating on the size you want your rug to be, consider these couple of things…
First, you want to make sure that the rug is under as many of the items in your living room as possible. You don’t want the rug under some things, and not under others.
Additionally, you don’t want to get a rug that simply sits under your coffee table. Both are not aesthetically pleasing and very annoying to deal with as someone sitting on a chair or sofa. Buy your rug big enough so that it can manage your chairs, your sofa, and your coffee table.
If you want to get a slightly smaller rug, make sure that it nicely fits under your sofa and chairs. You don’t want to buy your rug too small and have one end just sitting in the middle of the room.
Buy it big enough to cover everything and position your furniture on it from there.
